Hello and welcome! I have reviewed some of the early responses to my thread, which asked the community what they would like to see Swish do, and the vast majority of people said that they wanted to have a tournament. So, guess what? I've created a thread where upcoming tournaments will be posted. I will be hosting the majority of tournaments, unless something sudden happens and we are unable to attend. Rules A warning will be given and then a disqualification from the current tournament will be administered as well as possible restrictions from participating in future tournaments upon the breaking any of the following rules. More severe infractions will result in more severe punishment. Rules are subject to change at any time. All tournament host(s) and all MCSwish staff member(s) reserve the right to define the appropriate punishments. All MCSwish in-game rules apply. Participants will be respectful to each other, and no derogatory terms (eZ, rekt, l2p) will be used. Participants will not purposefully lose to others in order to allow their opponent to win a prize, win a tournament, or gain any other advantage. Participants will follow directions from the tournament host(s). Participants will not attempt to disrupt the tournament in any way. Hosts will not tamper with any results or give any advantages to participants. How will the tournaments work? To begin, tournaments will be announced by comments on this thread, so, if you are interested, I suggest you watch this thread to be notified of any upcoming tournaments. You'll have to join tournaments.mcswish.net to register and play in the tournament. Prizes such as Steam games or donor ranks may be provided to first, second, and third place winners. Most tournaments will be single elimination, but some might be round-robin, meaning everyone gets a chance to verse everyone. The tournaments will have a seeding system. For those who don't know, a 'seeding system' accounts for the statistics of each player and gives them a ranking on the bracket, meaning some of the top ranked players may be able to start playing at a later round than the first round. To give you further insight on how tournaments will work, I have provided a sample bracket: Thank you for reading, and we look forward to having you participate in the upcoming tournaments! Tournament Staff There is only one Lead Tournament Director, and he or she is in charge entire tournaments and has multiple directors at his/her disposal. He/she is also able to schedule tournaments and is the ultimate authority. Tournament directors are in charge of a section of the tournament and have multiple referees at their disposal. Tournament directors also assist the Lead Tournament Director in organizing, timing, and scoring tournaments. Referees assist tournament directors by spectating matches, keeping score of matches, and ensuring that all rules are being followed.
